Having owned and operated my own CSP… arriving at a house sight unseen… expect surprises in scope and labor intensity. That means the CSPs are likely doing alot of documenting and reporting to M2M, on their own time. Like user-generated content.

My recommendation for CSPs: Specialize in customers with allergies and asthma who need extreme dusting and vacuuming and improved indoor air quality. Work by the hour, at an efficient (vs breakneck) speed. Charge more for that specialty. And work for yourself. Develop your own expertise and systems to sell as digital products and SAAS. Just my 2 cents.

“The house is sight unseen”. If the CSP arrives to find customer’s descriptions unrealistic, the CSP must document and report those details to M2M. On their own time? Via WhatsApp? That time adds up.

If the CSPs are subcontractors, CSPs pay for their own:
— Vehicles and gas
— Sick days
— Health care
— Vacation times;
— Child care
— Retirement funds
—Rising costs of housing, childcare, health care. And now more tarrifs.

Health care: chronic illnesses are skyrocketing, with costs poorly regulated. On top of that, cleaning workers have higher rates of cancer. Plus, many cleaning chemicals are hormone disruptors, immunotoxicants, allergens, asthmagens, respiratory irritants, and more. Health and safety enforcements for residential CSPs on the job are scarce.

Who can afford all that, on $30.00 per hour or so?
